Sybil S. Baitz

June 22, 1930 - August 15, 2023 BAITZ – Sybil S. Born June 22, 1930 in Perth Amboy, NJ. Raised there and in Los Angeles, CA; passed away August 15 in Palm Desert, CA after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife of Edward (deceased); loving mother of Jeff (deceased), Rick (Penny) and Robbie; cherished grandmother of Josh; dear sister of Lester (Arlene) Schneider. Mrs. Baitz was an avid lover of theatre, music, fashion and travel; as a wife and mother she made homes for the family in Brazil, South Africa and the Netherlands, where her husband Edward was posted as an executive for The Carnation Company. In between overseas assignments, she worked as a make-up artist at I. Magnin and other department stores. After Edward passed, she became certified as a grief counselor and published "Beyond Bereavement", which advocated for a life past grief, one of joy and purpose, moving on to a future that was livable and rich. Mrs. Baitz was interred on August 17 at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks-Hollywood Hills, CA. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
