Gregory Fernandez Obituary
Those left to mourn his passing include two sons, Kyler Fernandez of Artesia, Brannden Josiah Fernandez of Las Cruces; three daughters, Elianna Sunshine Mali Fernandez of Las Cruces, Amanda Gloria and Jasmine Kimberly Fernandez, both of Phoenix; his fiancée, Citlally Montaño of Las Cruces; five brothers, Ysidro "Tito", and Michael Fernandez, Robert Fernandez Jr. (Isabel), Frank Reyna Sr. (Lucy), all of Las Cruces, Sixto Fernandez (Rudrina) of California; seven sisters, Trine Fernandez-Lane (Mike) of Radium Springs, Laura Lee Cuaron of Phoenix, Priscilla Madrid (Mike) of Doña Ana, Elizabeth Vega of St. Louis, Missouri, Debra Fernandez-Ibarvo (Ismael) of Las Cruces, Sandra Fernandez of California, and Roberta Fernandez-Copeland (Bob) of Branson, Missouri. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wonderful parents.
Visitation for Gregory will begin at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, in Calvary Christian Center, 4211 Elks Drive where the funeral service is scheduled to start at 10 a.m., with the most wonderful Pastors Mark and Kathy Jordan officiating. Cremation will follow and Inurnment of Cremains will be held at a later date.
Serving as casket bearers will be Mario Sanchez, Robert F. Rodriguez, Angel "Dominic" Fernandez, Robert Fernandez III, Rudy Gutierrez and Bobby Lopez. Honorary bearers will be Michael and Matthew Sanchez, Patrick and Joe Fernandez, Manuel Montaño, Israel X. Vasquez, Johnny Medina and Fernando Gonzalez.

Debbie and Fernandez family, I did not know your brother Gregory, but it sure made me sad to hear of the tragic way he was taken from his family that loved him so dearly. I am so sorry for your loss, May God give you and your family all the strength needed during this difficult time my prayers are with you and your family. Greg, you were one of my only trusted frineds. A trusted man with respect and kindness. Greg will forever be in my heart and I send my prayers to his loved ones. Greg would always text me SMILE he was a great friend and a loving soul, he will forever be missed. His love for his dogs was amazing and inspiring. Greg took such great care of his pets. I met Greg in high school. To me he was such a wonderful man. Always smiling. Years later we would meet different places. Talk about things. His dad. God. His children. I will miss you friend. Im very sorry for your loss. I knew Gregory in high school then our paths crossed again when our children started attending the same elementary. Every morning and afternoon I would see Gregory drop off and pick up his kids at school in his pick up truck with his adorable dogs. Lots of love, prayers and strength going out to his family.

To all my Fernandez Family,
Words cannot begin to explain the sadness I have felt in my heart since the day I found out about Greg. A life so precious and so young taken to soon. I was thinking back of all the times I was at my auntie and uncles church services they had and there was Greg being a clown that he was and my auntie Gloria giving him that look to settle down and he would just look and stay quite and smile. Take comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord and has been reunited with my Auntie and Uncle. Always treasure and cherish all the beautiful memories you all shared with him and I know there were many of those.
