Shirley Peralta

Shirley "Korina" Peralta, 49, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Sunday, September 28, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born April 25, 1965 in Reserve, NM to Kenneth Craig and Shirley Darlene Williams Shellhorn. She was born and raised in Reserve, NM. She married the love of her life Ralph on December 12, 1980. She taught at Reserve High School and she worked for FedEx. She was an avid Broncos fan against Ralph's wishes. Korina was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a caring, giving person you could ever meet; always putting other people's needs above her own. Family was everything to her; she was the glue that held us together. She enjoyed Shellhorn family reunions, four wheeler rides with her husband, anything to do with her family whether it was a weekend at their house or a holiday get together or lake trips. Korina was a natural born nurturer. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Ralph F. Peralta of the family home; three sons, Raymond Peralta (Kasey) of Las Cruces; Matthew Peralta (Marcy) of Las Cruces; Orlando Peralta (Cheyenne) of Silver City; six grandchildren, Kyla, Demrie, Ariana, Davin, Savannah and Izaac; two brothers, Keith Shellhorn (Mary) of Springerville, AZ; Kleve Shellhorn (Lina) of Thatcher, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be Friday, October 3 from 9-10 am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 10 am with Fr.
