Valerio Valles

It is with our deepest sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Valerio Rel Valles, age 46, of Las Cruces, on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013. He was born Aug. 12, 1966, in El Paso, Texas, to Cleto T. and Lupe Rel Valles. Valerio was a gifted craftsman; his acquired talents allowed him to help others. He worked in construction as a supervisor and will always be remembered for his grand sense of humor. Valerio was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Those left to mourn his passing along with his sons, Nicolas, Armando and Rafael, include his parents and siblings, Carlos Valles, Tomasita Chavez, Irma Gallegos, Estella Hernandez, Beatrice Valles, Cleto Valles, Jr., Frances Ontiveros, Valentin Valles, Victor Valles, Joe Valles, Isidro Valles, Leo Valles and Johnny Valles and their families; and three grandchildren, Aliyah, Aidan and Samuel Valles, all residing in the Las Cruces area. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; a niece, Inez Chavez, and sister-in-law, Marcella Valles. Visitation for Valerio will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine and Parish, 3600 Parroquia Street, in Tortugas, where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. Family and friends will join together at 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, to celebrate the funeral Mass in the same church with the Rev. Vincent Petersen, Celebrant. The rite of committal and interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, 100 S. Espina St., where he will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be sons, Nicolas, Armando and Rafael Valles, and brothers, Carlos, Leo and Johnny Valles. Honorary bearers will be Cleto Jr., Valentin, Victor Joe and Isidro Valles.
