Brent Raisley Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Dr. Brent Scott Raisley, age 52, who passed away on March 15, 2025.

He was born on April 20, 1972 to Ronald Raisley and Linda Martz.

Brent spent his early childhood in New Bethlehem, although Oklahoma is where he lived the majority of his life.

He graduated from Westmoore High School in Oklahoma City, Okla. in 1990. After graduation, he pursued his love of science at Oklahoma State University, earning a bachelor's of science in biochemistry and a PhD in microbiology, cell and molecular biology in 2008.

Brent was a research scientist, high school teacher and college professor.

In July 2023, Brent was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. This resulted in the end of his teaching career but led him to pursue his call to ministry.

Whether he was hunting, fishing or camping, Brent found joy in nature as well as the adventures that it brought.

He was also a lifelong Pittsburgh and OSU Cowboy fan.

Above all, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family.

Brent is survived by his wife of 24 years, Wanda Raisley; daughters Madelaine and Lillian; father, Ronald (Pam) Raisley; mother, Linda Martz; and sister, Karena (Elena) Graves.

Brent's legacy is one of generosity of spirit, pursuit of knowledge, passion for the Lord and unwavering love for his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Memorial Services will be held at the Mustang Church of the Nazarene in Mustang, Okla., on Saturday, March 29, at 11 a.m.

The service will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend.

Dear Wanda and Girls, I am so sorry for your loss. When we were growing up, Brent was like another big brother to me. I nicknamed him "Bobo" - not sure if you knew that or not. He was my defender in many ways and I will never forget him! I can't wait to see him again... perfected...with Jesus!
