Judy Risler

1946 - 2024

Judy Risler, age 78, of the Town of Albany, passed away peacefully at home on July 8 after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on March 18, 1946, to Veronica and Rudy Pahl. After graduation, Judy worked at Presto and later worked alongside her husband, Loren, on the farm.

On August 16, 1969, Judy was united in marriage to Loren Risler at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mondovi. She was a longstanding member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rock Falls. She will be remembered for her kindheartedness, patience and sense of humor. She enjoyed playing cards, games and puzzles along with her flowers, fishing, road trips and storytelling.

Judy is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Loren; her son, Jason and his wife April and grandson, Austin; two sisters, Eve Simonson and Carol (Larry) Finseth; brother Rudy Pahl; Loren's family, Ron (Claudia) Risler, Gary Risler, Glenda (Mark) Busch and Bev Deutscher (Lee Brantner).

Judy was preceded in death by Sally and Wally Rolland, Mike and Mark Simonson; sisters-in-law, Kathy Pahl, Valerie and Marlene Risler; and brothers-in-law, Arnold Risler and Dave Deutscher

A memorial mass for Judy will be celebrated on Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rock Falls. Inurnment will follow at the Parish Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the hour of the mass.

Special thanks to the St. Croix Hospice team for the tender loving care they extended to Judy and her family. Memorials will be donated to St. Jude's, Shriners Hospital, and Feed My People.
