Richard Cornman Obituary

Richard "Bo" Allen Cornman, 68, of Templeton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, in the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Kittanning, to the late Ernest "Rod" and Mary Jane (John) Cornman. Bo loved working on cars his entire life and was employed by Walker Pontiac in Kittanning for many years and Willison Garage of New Bethlehem. He was a former president for Kit-Han-Ne Car Club AACA. Mr. Cornman was an elder of Goheenville Presbyterian Church, a mason and a member of BPOE. Bo also coached Little League. He loved camping with his much loved companion, Angel - his black lab. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. His entire life he continued to look after and care for Mr. and Mrs. Harry Coleman, of Dayton, as his extended parents. As a young man, he lived and worked on the Coleman Farm. Bo will be missed by his son, Jason Cornman and wife, Nicole, of Cadogan; granddaughter, Madelyn; and grandson, Zac. Bo is also survived by siblings, Patricia (Russell) Stitt, of South Carolina, Eva (Ed) Steffy, of Kittanning. Helen (Kenneth "Buddy") Schall, of Rural Valley, Nancy (Larry) Slagle, of Fairmount City, Diana (Jose) Motla, of Peru, Jean (Larry) Chestnut, of Ford Cliff, Janice (Robert) Rodgers, of Butler, Anita (Byron) Heckman, of Florida, Jack (Denise) Cornman, of Kittanning, and Dwayne (Melanie) Cornman, of Kittanning; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Thomas, Ernest and Charles Cornman; and two infant sisters. A special thanks to his sister Helen and brother-in-law Buddy for taking Bo into their home and being such loving caregivers. Everyone who knew him will miss a very caring person, who always had a joke and a laugh to share. Bo was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, and from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, in the KENNEDY & BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, with Pastor Herb Reefer officiating. Burial will take place in Pine Creek Baptist Cemetery, Kittanning.

I met Bo while camping at Redbank Park. A gentleman of many talents and stories. Until last Spring, I thought Bo was not going to be around much longer, but spending last Winter with Jack & Denise Cornman, he looked like a new man. Walking up and down the hill from his camper, stopping to talk and sharing a new story, usually always with Angel at his side.
God Bless You Bo.

I met Bo while working as a waitress at the G.C. Murphy's in the early 80's. He was always making me smile even when I didn't want to. Many prayers to his family. I worked with Helen at Walmart for a couple of years. May GOD bring you peace and comfort knowing Bo is in his gentle hands.
