Robert Edward Carl Jr. of Desert Hot Springs, CA, formerly of Ford City, PA, died Friday, January 7, 2022, at Desert Regional Medical Center. He was born, December 10, 1951, in Kittanning, PA, to Robert Edward Carl Sr. and Ruth Ione Wernick Carl. Bob was an amazing RN, always advocating for his patients to help them through life. He mentored many direct care staff to better serve those in need, many of whom went on to careers in nursing. After retirement as Director of Nursing at Angel View in Desert Hot Springs, Bob put his energy into nurturing his desert home. He was a self taught master craftsman and perfectionist. The additions to his house are outstanding. He could build and grow anything. Survivors include his brothers, Cyril and Rita Carl of Miranda, CA, Michael and Antoinette Carl of Vanceboro, NC, Dale and Amy Carl of Bedford, TX, sister Amy Carl of PA, 16 nephews and 18 nieces. In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by nephews, Cruze Cassidy Carl and Edward James Helmanic Jr. A private Memorial Service will be held by his family at a later date.
