Aggie Davis Obituary

Aggie Casey Davis August 8, 1921 - April 26, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA — Mrs. Aggie Casey Davis, 87, of 5131 Warm Springs Road, Columbus, died Sunday, April 26, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held 12 noon EST Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Letohatchie, AL with Rev. Lewis L. Caldwell, Pastor and Rev. Mary C. Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, according to Taylor Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. There will be no public viewing. Mrs. Davis was born August 8, 1921 in Calhoun, AL, the daughter of Choicey and Charlie Casey. She was a member of Antioch A.M.E. Zion Church in Ft. Deposit, AL where she was the Adult Superintendent of Sunday School and served as the Missionary President. After moving to Columbus, GA, she joined the Smith Grove A.M.E. Zion Church. Mrs. Davis was very active in the Stewart Community Home and Fountain City Rehabilitation. Survivors include a devoted niece, Jacquelyn Jones of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Leola Lee of Letohatchie, AL and Rachel Casey Simmons of Columbus, GA, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
