Annette Avery Obituary
Born on April 16, 1936, in Blue Springs, Alabama, Annette was the daughter of Horace and Mae (Spivey) Welch. She graduated from Central High School in 1954 and married Leslie Edward Avery in December 1956.
Annette worked as an Administrative Assistant at Ledger Enquirer in Columbus for over 25 years prior to her retirement. Later, she taught Interior Design at Mabel Bailey Fashion College in Columbus for many years.
Annette and her family were longtime members of Central Baptist Church in Phenix City before moving to Columbus and joining First Baptist Church. In later years, she attended Trinity Methodist Church in Phenix City.
Annette is lovingly remembered by her daughter Allyson Avery King of Chelmsford, Massachusetts; daughter Angela Watson; son-in-law Clive Watson; and granddaughter Ashley Avery Watson of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Route 119), Townsend Center, is handling cremation arrangements. The family will hold a private service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Donations can be made online at https://www.lbda.org/donate/ or mailed to: Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047.
The family extends heartfelt thanks for the support and care shown over the years.

I am so sorry to hear of Annette's passing. She was always so sweet. I met her when I married into the Spivey family. She and my mother in law, Sybil Spivey, were very close. Prayers for the family.
