Columbus, Georgia - Rev. Christopher Smith, 51, of Columbus passed on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at St. James A.M.E. Church, 1002 - 6th Avenue, Columbus. Bishop Alfred Rushin will be officiating according to the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home, Inc.
Rev. Smith was the Founder of Word of Truth Outreach Ministries. Survivors include a wife, Jeanelle Smith; seven daughters, Iesha N. Safford, Alisha S. Safford and Crystal D. Saffold all of Atlanta, Britney Mitchell, Jazmine L. Smith, Kaylah S. Carter (Dewayne), Ja'Miah A. Smith all of Columbus; three sons, Nicklous Green, Davion D. Holloway both of Columbus and Christopher D. Smith, II, Lexington, KY; three sisters, SFC (Ret) Lakesha (MSG (Ret) Issac) Coleman, Moneka Griffith and Sunkela Griffith; one brother-cousin, Terelle Stevenson; one aunt, Barbara Jean Bass, one great-aunt Josie May Clayton; 14 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

I am so very sorry for the loss of pastor Smith, he welcomed me into his church with arms wide open and made my fiancee Willie williams and I feel as if we were at home, you were loved by many and will be truly missed my hear goes out to his wife and his family wow this blows our minds may God rest your soul
