Seale, AL- Daniel "Dan" Dennis Greene, 48, of Seale, AL, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am EST on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Seale Cemetery with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating.
Dan was born on December 16, 1963 in Columbus, GA, the beloved son of Roy and Janie Greene, Sr. He attended Glenwood High School, University of Alabama where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and graduated from Troy University. Dan was a cattleman and farmer in Russell County and a member of First Baptist in Columbus, GA.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Roy Greene and Mrs. Loretta Blue Moore.
Other than his parents he is survived by his daughter, Dudley Greene; two sons, John Daniel Greene and Brooks Greene; sister, Lynne Heard Frakes; two brothers, Mitch Greene and David Greene; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many caring friends.

Dan , I was shocked and sad to learn about your death. Dan and I were cousins by marriage. One of the best guys I ever knew. More like a brother. You will be missed and the world is a smaller place without you. I'm sorry it took me so long to write this. God be with your family and girls. See you one day again.

Dan and I worked together at CB&T in the 1990's. Dan was a kind soul and spirit and I really enjoyed the time we spent together. May God Bless Dan and his family.

I am so very saddened at Dan's passing. I called him my "cousin-cousin" - though not related, I felt we were close through our extended family. There are so many good memories of Dan through the years, and I will always miss him. Many heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to the Greene family.

Dear Mr & Mrs. Greene, I am very sorry for your loss. I came to Seale with Buck Phillips in the late 80"s on several occasions and we hunted with Dan. You always made me feel very welcome in your home, and I thought even as young men, Dan was someone to emulate. He was a fine man, and I know you were very proud of him. God Bless you all.
