Columbus, GA- Mr. Darryl Reginald Brooks Sr., 54, 6307 Fitzgerald Dr. Columbus, GA, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday September 30, 2017 in the chapel of Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel at Rose Hill LLC 2919 Hamilton Road Columbus, GA 31904 with Pastor Henry O. Patterson III officiating. Mr. Brooks was born March 5, 1963 in Fort Lee, VA to the late James D. and Carol M. Brooks. He was a 1981 graduate of James Hillhouse High School and was an United States Army Veteran, having served in the Gulf War. Darryl was a dedicated employee of Pratt & Whitney. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Antwoine Johnson and Yvonne Brooks. Darryl leaves to cherish his precious memories, a devoted son, Darryl (Aleta) Brooks II; grandchildren Peyton Brooks and Darryl Brooks III; siblings Yvette Ford, Yolanda Brooks, Tiffanie Brooks and Derrick Redd; a Godson, Pastor Henry O. My condolences to my cousin Bubba on this horrible loss. Trust God makes no mistakes and he's no longer in pain. Don't allow grief to consume you but hold tight to the love, laughter and memories to share with his grandkids for a lifetime. I've worked with Darryl at Pratt for a few years. He was a hard working man always willing to help me or anyone who needed his expertise. He will be greatly missed by his Pratt family. My prayers are with you and may God comfort you always.
