COLUMBUS, GA- Elizabeth Joyce Hanson, 70, of Columbus, GA died Saturday October 24, 2009 at her residence of natural causes.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. according to Vance –Brooks Funeral Home Macon Road, Columbus, GA.
She was born in Graceville, FL and was raised in the Annie Elizabeth Shepherd Orphans Home in Columbus, GA. She graduated from Jordan High School in June of 1957. Her husband, Johnny M. Hanson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister Johnnie Myrl Robinson of Blairsville, GA; two daughters and two sons: Patricia Hanson-Castles (James), Columbus, GA, Pamela M. Hanson-Smith (Don), Forest Park, GA, Johnny M. Hanson (Giesla), Kissimmee, FL, Jeffery A. Hanson (Maggie), Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nephews and nieces.
