Smiths Station, AL- Mr. Grant Minger, Jr. 60, of 130 Lee Road 2000, Smiths Station, AL passed Monday, July 14, 2014 at Columbus Hospice.
Funeral service will be held 12 noon EST, July 19, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Burton, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Minger was born May 1, 1954 in Crawford, AL to Gertrude Minger of Crawford, AL and the late Grant Minger, Sr. He had been employed with Synder-Lance.
Survivors other than his mother include his wife, Yolanda Minger of Opelika, AL; one son, Jamarlo Alford of Opelika, AL; two daughters, LaKetta (Torieno) Guice and Torennia Cobb both of Smiths Station, AL; four step-children; three brothers, Eddie Lee Minger and Royzell (Sylvia) Minger both of Montgomery, AL; Oscar Minger of Smiths Station, AL; three sisters, Mary Salas and Edna Minger both of Phenix City, AL; Virginia Minger of Smiths Station, AL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
