H. Edward Waller November 12, 1929- April 11, 2008 COLUMBUS, GA— H. Edward Waller, 79, of Columbus died Friday, April 11, 2008 at Spring Harbor Health Care. A Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 14, 2008 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Dr. Buddy Cooper officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. The family will receive friends after the service. Mr. Waller was born November 12, 1929 to the late Earl and Esther Waller in Lancaster, PA. He graduated from Penn Manor High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a Major in Management in June 1954 from Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at University of Pennsylvania where he was a member of Sigma Nu. Mr. Waller retired as Executive Vice President with David K. Burnap Advertising Agency, Inc. in Dayton, OH. Upon retirement he moved to Lake Martin, AL and resided for several years before moving to Spring Harbor. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mr. Waller was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl, John, and James Waller. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Barbara Waller of Columbus; two sons, John Waller and his wife, Anna, of Gainesville, GA and Tom Waller and his wife, Terry, of St. Simons, GA; two sisters, Hazel Carlson of Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada and Carol Etter of Lancaster, PA and her husband, Ronald; his grandchildren, Kyle Waller and his wife, Liz, Todd Waller, Sarah Waller, Haley Waller and Reese Waller; two sisters-in-law, Edith Waller, wife of John and Polly Waller, wife of Earl; and several nieces and nephews.
