"JUST REMEMBERING JUSTIN"
I HAVE PURPOSELY PROCRASTINATED WRITING IN THIS JOURNAL, NOT REALLY SURE IF I EVER WOULD, FOR THE WORDS WOULDN'T COME. ONLY NOW I REALIZE I MUST ATTEMPT TO PUT ON PAPER THINGS MY HEART HAS ALWAYS FELT ABOUT JUSTIN AND THINGS THAT HAVE SURFACED SINCE HE IS NO LONGER WITH US ON THIS EARTH.
J-U-S-T-I-N, THE NAME, MEANING ONE WHO IS JUST AND PURE,SEEMS SO CAREFULLY AND APPROPRIATELY CHOSEN. HE LIVED IT. IT FIT HIM SO WELL, EVEN AS A CHILD. I REMEMBER HIM DRAWING AND COLORING AND I REALIZE WE NEVER KNEW JUST HOW MUCH HE WOULD COLOR OUR LIVES. HE HAD A CARING HEART, OFTEN SPEAKING LITTLE BUT ALWAYS DOING RIGHT BY OTHERS, AND YOU KNEW THERE WAS AN UNSPOKEN WISDOM. HIS SWEET SPIRIT AND GENTLE DEMEANOR WAS SO RECOGNIZABLE AND REMARKABLE. HE WAS JUST A CHILD YOU LOVED. WHY THINGS HAPPEN IN LIFE AS THEY DO, WE WILL NEVER FULLY UNDERSTAND BUT WE KNOW AS SURE AS THERE ARE SEASONS, THERE IS TOO A REASON. THOUGH HE IS NOT WITH US, PHYSICALLY, HE WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS. I REMEMBER THE OCEAN AND OUR KIDS RUNNING AND LAUGHING AND PLAYING AND WISHING AND I KNOW I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER JUSTIN AND BE JOYFUL THAT I WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE A SMALL PART OF THIS CHILD'S LIFE.
JUST REMEMBERING JUSTIN,

Tammy, I am so sorry to hear of everything that has happened, but I wanted to let you know that you, your family, and Justin are in my prayers. Michelle told me what a wonderful young man he was and of all his great accomplishments. He will be greatly missed, but memories of him will be treasured forever.

Dear Tammy and Scarlett, No words can say. Only His words will bring you peace. Nothing is too hard for God. He binds up the brokenhearted and those crushed in spirit. I am so proud of all of Justin's accomplishments and his decision to serve his country. I remember all the shoes of Justin's that Thorn has worn. I still have one pair that were Thorn's favorite. You are both remembered as I pray.I love you so much and I am hugging you in the Spirit.

Although we drifted Justin was always a great friend to me. We grew up together and played baseball for many years while spending numerous hours together outside of sports. Justin was such a good person who had a tender and loving heart. You will be in my prayers for your great loss.

My Dear Friend,
Ms. Tammy I understand your feelings of hurt, and even anger. I cannot console you in a situation like this I can only let the Lord reign victorious. I don't feel like this is the time to feel defeat, its the time to know Justin is walking the streets of gold, and breaking in his new wings.=0) I pray for this time that you would release anything you may have that steals your joy; save the memories, and cherish the laughter. He will always be your son, you may not see him, but I bet you can hear him. Love him where you are. Your friend always.--Your Servant> <> Michael

At this time of grief, my family and I are saddened by your family's great loss. I knew Justin from Central Weekday School and was also in his fifth grade class at Gordon Bibb Elementary. My memories of him will be pleasant, as he was always a kind, friendly person. Again, we are sorry for your loss and you are in our thoughts.

I had the privledge of coaching Justin for one year in Dixie Youth baseball and then got to watch him grow as we competed against him. He didn't have the strongest of arms, but always came in at the end of a game to beat us. He was such an incredible well mannered person and we always had the highest amount of regards for him. All of our thoughts and prayers are with your family. God Bless!!!

Even though it's been almost five years since I had Justin in the band at Cedar Ridge, I remember what a great kid he was. Always kind and pleasant. I'm saddened at his passing and will pray for him and his family.

Its sad to hear that another fellow classmate of mine is gone. Justin was hilarious while at Julian Harris and he again reminded me of that when he came to Austin for half of a semester and was with the drumline. My deepest prayers to his family for he will be missed.
