Loma Paul Lovelace February 3, 1917 - October 10, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA— Loma Paul Lovelace, 92, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, October 10, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Lovelace was born in Chambers County, AL on February 3, 1917, son of the late Kirven Paul Lovelace and Ola Jones Lovelace, He has lived in Columbus since 1935 and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Lovelace was a U.S Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was the former owner and operator of Speedway Oil Company and Loma Grading & Landscaping. His brother, W.S. Lovelace and a sister, Etta Holland preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Mamie Olive Lovelace of Columbus; son, James P. Lovelace and Gloria of Columbus; grandchildren, Jeffrey Paul Lovelace and Susan of Smith Station, AL and Amanda Wilkerson and Wade of Salem, AL; great grandchildren, Taylor Wilkerson, Amelia Lovelace and Olivia Lovelace; a sister Anna Enfinger of Tallahassee, FL; a sister-in-law, Velma Lovelace of Old Town, FL; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and his faithful dog Hershey.
