Chicago, Illinois - Mr. Rafus Hunter, Jr., 78, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Salem, AL, passed Thursday, March 30, 2023 in Chicago, IL. Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon EST Friday, April 28, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. David Stallion, officiating. Burial to follow in St. Paul C.M.E Church Cemetery, Crawford, AL. Visitation is Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 1-5 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Rafus Hunter, Jr., was born August 20, 1944 to the late Rafus Hunter, Sr., and the late Iola Kimbrough Hunter in Lee County, AL. Rafus retired from RC Cola.
Survivors include one son, Jeffery (Alicia) Hunter; two daughters; Stephanie (Anthony) Curry and Anita (D'Lan) Matthews; two sisters; Elsie Miles and Barbara Anderson; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
