Columbus, GA- Mr. Robert W. O'Brien, Sr., 66 of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert O'Brien; mother, Julia Brunner Sunling; and sister, Judy Brock.
Robert was involved with the Pioneer Little League and was retired from the City of Columbus.
He is survived by his brother, William "Bill" O'Brien of Georgia; children, Robert W. O'Brien, JR and Karen of Pennsylvania, Holly Bennett of Georgia, and Kelly and Olivia O'Brien of Dalton; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Prostate Cancer Research Center at
https://pcri.org.
The family will receive friends at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907 on Friday from 6 until 8 PM.

My heartfelt sympathy to each of you. I was blessed by having Bobby as my friend since high school. I can still see him on the football field and in the office downtown. Always brought a smile to my face, always my friend. My heart and prayers are with you all during this most difficult time. God Bless You and RIP Bobby.
