Ruby Shelhorse Obituary

Ruby Bray Shelhorse January 30, 1925- March 6, 2005 COLUMBUS, GA— Ruby Bray Shelhorse, 80, died Sunday, Mar. 6 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 12 in Parkhill Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Hester officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road. Mrs. Shelhorse was born January 30, 1925 in Marion County, Ga., daughter of the late John Thomas Bray, Sr. and Lena Johnson Bray. Mrs. Shelhorse was a Registered Nurse before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband Bailey Brooks Shelhorse, Sr. She is survived by a sister, Helen Bray Tuggle; seven children, Brooks Shelhorse, Jr., (Elaine), Yvonne S. Camper (Chip), Warren V. Shelhorse (Lynne), Max A. Shelhorse (Sharon), Werdna S. Martin (Ikie), Glenn D. Shelhorse (Jennie), and M. Carletta Shelhorse; ten grandchildren, Annica S. Ritchie, Eric Pitts, Brittany Martin, Melissa Shelhorse, Llana York, Bailey Shelhorse, II, Lacey Manning, Katherine Shelhorse, Blake Curtis, and Dustin Curtis; four great-grandchildren, Easton, Kaysen, Scott and Helena; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Teresa Curtis.
