Columbus, Georgia - Mr. Steven Lawrence, Sr., 56, transitioned his life Monday, May 10, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 2:00 pm at Green Acres Cemetery. Rev. Donald R. Hill will be officiating according to Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel at Rose Hill LLC, 2919 Hamilton Rd, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be Friday, May 21, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Lawrence was born July 13, 1964 to the late Ozemma Hill and James Lawrence, Sr. in Columbus, GA. He was employed as a machine operator at Wolford Contracting Company. Mr. Lawrence loved watching old western movies and sports. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Molly C. Lawrence; his children, Jeremy Scott, Steven Lawrence, Jr., Shanathan Lawrence, Tanjula Hill, Gabrielle Lawrence; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 7 siblings, Johnny (Betty) Lawrence, Randolph Lawrence, Kenneth (Marilyn) Lawrence, Lucille Lawrence, Gwendolyn Lawrence, Dianne Lawrence, Rita (Toby) Lawrence-Dixon; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. All my life since middle school people have asked if I was related to Steve Lawrence. I never met Steve but have met others in the Lawrence family that I consider "family". So I say rest in peace Steve, "my family".
