Dadeville, AL- Susan Camp Welch, 58, of Dadeville, Alabama, died Wednesday June 24, 2013 of natural causes.
Susan is the daughter of Mr. Charles Camp and the late Mrs. Joann Camp. She was born June 9, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, lived in Atlanta, GA and moved to Columbus, GA in 1967. Susan graduated from Columbus State University and worked many years as a legal and medical transcriptionist. She married Ben Welch in December of 2008, and they resided together in Dadeville, Alabama.
Those who knew Susan remember her kind heart and giving spirit. She loved her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Susan will be deeply missed by all who knew her!
Susan is preceded in death by her mother Mrs. JoAnn Camp.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Welch and his children, Nicole and Ethan Welch, and mother-in-law, Gail (Tommy) Stewart of Dadeville, AL; father, Charles Camp of Clermont, FL; two sons, Marcus Coyle of Catawba, NC and Dustin Sasser of Columbus, GA; two daughters, Jamie (Grant) Smithwick of Columbus, GA and Amanda Bane of Martinsburg, WV; sisters, Valorie Bandoly (Paul) of Gastionia, NC and Denise Henry of Columbus, GA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Haylee Vivian Coyle, Olivia Reece Smithwick, Graelyn MaKenna Smithwick, Alyssa Welch and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 in Dadeville, AL at Alabama Funeral Homes followed by a memorial service.
