Doug was my friend/brother. After my own brother left for military service Doug would take me fishing, riding dirt bikes, or on some other adventures. I was 14 or 15 and Doug was the same age as my older brother 19 or 20. Doug would make time for me almost every weekend, he even bought a small Suzuki 90 so I could ride my own dirt bike, WOW! Doug had a heart of gold, just like his mom. Over the years I saw Doug offer his help or support to those around him, countless times, always sincere. Doug liked to smile and it was genuine, he liked to laugh, have fun and was easy going. This is the Doug I remember so clearly, a kind hard working 20 year old who made time for his friends 15 year old brother, and gained a friend/brother for life. My heart goes out to Richard, Jan, Jennifer, James, Benjamin and all Doug's Family. He left us too soon, now he is back in Marion's arms. God Bless You Doug.

Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again.
