Aaliyah Shenae Gibson

Aaliyah Shanae Gibson, 2, died June 11, 2012 in St. Mary's, GA. She was born on October 17, 2009 in Maysville to Cortney Shanae McGill and Marcus Gibson. She was a beautiful child and loved to play. Aaliyah is survived by a brother Tamareion Davis of Lexington and a sister Arionna Gibson of Maysville. Her maternal grandparents are Vickie McGill and Leonard Avery II both of Maysville. Paternal grandparents are Beverly Knapp of Stuart, FL, James and Dianne Gibson of Lexington. Maternal great grandparents are Doug and Susan McGill of Maysville and Leonard Avery, Sr. of Maysville. She is also survived by paternal great grandparent Robert Locke and Mary McFayden, great-great grandfather Paul B. Gray all of Lexington and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Aaliyah was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Perrin Means Gibson, paternal grandfather William Gibson, Jr., and paternal great-great grandmother Dorothy B. Gray. Services for Aaliyah Shanae Gibson will be at 3 P.M. at the Bethel Baptist Church , Saturday, June 16. Bishop Thomas C. Wallace, Sr. and Rev. Christopher Lee will officiate. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1til 3 at the church.
