NEW HAVEN REITER, ALICE MAY BARKER , 67, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2004, at her residence. She was born April 12, 1937, in Evanston, IL, to the late Lester E. and Ida Luensman Barker. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven and a retired office manager for Amerigas in New Haven. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Reiter; a son, Richard John "Ricky" Reiter; a daughter, Jean Marie "Boogie" Reiter Hagan; a grandson, Christopher Wayne Reeser; and her stepmother, Jean B. Barker. She is survived by five sons, Steven, Bobby Joe and Michael Reiter, all of New Haven, and Dan and John Reiter, both of Bardstown, KY; three daughters, Pam DeWitt and Michelle Weakley, both of New Haven, and Linda Reeser of Fisherville, KY; two sisters, Ivy Hopson of Mt. Prospect, IL, and Mary Bury of Gurnee, IL; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grand-children. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2004, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven, with Rev. Scott Wimsett and Rev. Clarence J. Howard officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Cemetery in New Hope, KY. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004, and after 9 a.m. Friday at William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven. A prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Clarence J. Howard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Nelson County (KY).
