Lovely guy. I moved overseas and recently found out about his passing but kept in touch a bit through Facebook. Played club soccer against him. Got to meet him more at the GSU soccer team where we both played and later played indoor together on teams that I managed. Super nice person, humble, versatile player, and super competitive.

Sad that I won't be able to talk him again. RIP Grayson.

I crossed paths with Grayson on the soccer field many times back in our younger days. The St. Pius/Walton games were always ones to remember. Grayson always stood out as being respected by both his teammates and those he competed against. My heart sank when I heard the news. My deepest sympathies to the Torbush family.

Memorial service was very sweet. Sorry I did not get to see Loretta. If you need me, I am here for you. I know first hand what it is like to lose a child. Out of God's natural order for sure. Keep on praying and lean on Him. He will see you through. Much love,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of someone so young and vibrant. While we were not too close in high school, I do remember his excellent soccer and cute smile. Our paths crossed a few times after college and he always had a smile on his face. Our prayers are with his boys and the rest of his family and friends. God Bless Grayson

Reading this Obit brought back many good memories of the friendship Al (the Dad) and I had in our preteen and teen age years growing up in the same neighborhood in Cascade Heights Southwest Atlanta. Our track years with Al at SW High and mine at G.M.A. and then into college. A better friend I did not have and I cherish those memories as I do the friendship we had. My heart and prayers go out to you Al and your family in the devastating loss of your son. I too have a 41 year old son and cannot fathom your loss and sadness. I pray for you dear old friend and pray that God will give you peace and healing as you grieve this terrible loss. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for our past friendship and good memories.

I went to school with Grayson from elementary - high school. We were not good friends but, I do remember how warm, sweet, handsome, and nice he was to everyone. He had the BEST smile and so deserved his "Homecoming King" award and "Best All-around" for the Walton High School Class of 1988. He will be greatly missed and I hope that his family, Stacy, and he close friends find comfort in the memories...RIP Grayson.

Grayson.
Wow, what a crazy surprise. You are a person I could have only imagined living on forever...you had the perfect smile, EVERYONE loved you; I tried explaining to my wife who you were, and the words that kept on repeating, we're happy, nice, comical, and loving. It's been a while since I last saw you, but we all know little truly changes over time....you were a great man, an outstanding athlete, and an incredible father.
To Stacey Martin, I wish all the best; Stacey has always been a person that I shared conversation with through out high school and college....my thoughts are with you.

Grayson was a great friend and mentor of mine in high school. I always admired the way he carried himself and he was a guy you always wanted to be around. I spent the last 20 years on the other side of the country and only kept in touch through mutual friends. I regret not staying closer but as I remember Grayson, I can only come up with fond memories. I know his family will take comfort in knowing how many people he had such a wonderful influence on and how much he is missed.

I was so sad to hear this news. I have not seen Grayson since high school, but have very fond memories of how kind hearted he was to everyone, and how he was ALWAYS smiling. Taken from the world way too soon. My heart goes out to everyone who loved him!

My beloved friend, for 30 years you have been such a cherished part of my life. Through thick and thin I could always depend on you to be by my side. I still remember the day we met to shy to say much at all. They say true friendship is rare, an adage I feel to be true. I am so lucky to have met you. Our bond is extremely special and unique. We have something irreplaceable. We've been through so much together. I will never forget all of the moments we shared. I love everything about you, you are someone I could never replace. You were always there for me. I cannot thank you enough. You were truly an extraordinary gift. You are everything to me and more, I could never express that enough. Life is such a treacherous journey, and without you it will be tough. I will miss you everyday, I Love you Gray.

My thoughts are with all of his family and Grayson will certainly be missed. I had some really good times with him back in the Houston's days and will always treasure those memories.
