Alena Dawn Miles Obituary
Alena Dawn Miles was born November 16, 1975 in Pauls Valley to Joyce Miles and Bruce Ford.
Lena grew up in Pauls Valley. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Lena attended school in Pauls Valley and was in the High School Class of 1994. She studied at Heritage College receiving an X-Ray Medical Technician Certificate.
Alena worked for Dr. Schultz, an Orthopedic Surgeon in Norman, Oklahoma.
She was the proud mother of 5 and loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren. Alena loved her family and never met a stranger. She enjoyed camping, playing cards and dominoes. She thought she was a mother hen aka bossy. Who would correct you but also be the first to defend you. Her beautiful smile and loving personality will forever be cherished.
Alena was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald R. Miles, Ethelene Miles and Frankie Ford; a brother, Eric Fields; and uncles, Douglas Ford and Ray K. Miles.
Alena was transitioned to her heavenly home and leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Joyce Miles; her father, Bruce Ford, both of Pauls Valley; siblings, Corey Miles of Amarillo, Texas; Tiffany McCalister of Austin, Texas; Raymond Ford of Pauls Valley; Harvey Fields of Miami, OK; and John M, Ford of Pauls Valley; children, Damien Miles of Norman; Corey L. Miles and Dakota Washington of Pauls Valley; Jeffrey Brewer of Yukon and Tyanne Brewer of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Marley Miles, Ka'Maurye Miles, Emery Miles, Kordarrius Miles, Danae Miles, Luciano Prince, and Zayden Brewer; 1 great aunt, Willie M. Jackson, of Edmond; 12 aunts, 9 uncles, 3 nephews, 5 nieces, a host of cousins, other relatives, friends, and a very special friend, Chavez Prince.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Bruce Ford, her father. Interment will be at the Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Alena kept me on my toes as a teacher. I loved her pretty smile and her sharp wit. I’m so sorry she left this world at such a young age but I know she’s with her Heavenly Father which is a better place by far.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Alena's family. I will miss talking to her. I work at Norman Healthplex Hospital I talked with her frequently. When she would come up to the hospital to see us she always had a smile on her face and gave me a hard time. Will miss her dearly.

Joyce, Bruce, and Family: May each of you feel the comfort of God and the warmth from his arms as he wraps them around you. This is a difficult and monumental time in your lives. You have the assurance of knowing that God loves you, and will continue to care for you now, henceforth, and forever more.
I was very saddened to hear about the death of Lena Dawn. I have known her from the time of her childhood. Alena was a beautiful person. Lena not only was a vision of external beauty but inner beauty as well. Her smile was radiant. Alena was very instrumental in one way or another in the life of many. Lena's parents were richly blessed when they received a loan from God in which they named Alena Dawn Miles. My prayers are with the family.
