Alexander Joseph Michalak Jr.

Alexander Joseph Michalak, Jr. peacefully passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 in Houston, Texas. Alex was born December 9, 1940 in Houston, Texas to Alexander Joseph Michalak, Sr. and Gertrude Spencer Michalak. His father and mother Alexander and Gertrude Spencer Michalak, Sr. his first wife Dolores Poindexter Michalak and his son, Michael Allen Michalak, preceded him in death. His first marriage was May 7, 1960 to Dolores Poindexter Michalak and his second marriage was July 2, 2004 to Estelle Michalak. Alex is survived by his wife Estelle Gill Michalak; his daughter Michelle Michalak Burton and her husband Bobby; son, Mark Anthony Michalak and his wife Denise; stepsons, Steven Gorman and Allen Gorman; his grandchildren, Cosette Burton, Dustin Burton, Monica Berrospe, Cameron Michalak, Sherrie Michalak and Michael Michalak; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Elliott, Isaiah, Luke, Trae, Haven, Sariyah, Miya and Mila. Alex worked for a number of years at Gearench and Entex (CenterPoint). He enjoyed camping, gardening and loved his dogs. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral from 12-1 PM with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM in the Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
