Allan Redig

Mr. Allan R. Redig, age 56 of Villa Rica (formerly of Mankato, MN) passed away June 27, 2009, in Birmingham, AL.Mr. Redig was born February 2, 1953 in Wells, MN, the son of Marion Weigel, of Wells, MN, and the late Arnold Redig. He was a salesperson for John Bleakley RV Sales, as well as an Independent Insurance Adjuster. He was Catholic by faith and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Carrollton. He was also a veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era and was a member of The AmVets and American Legion.He is survived by Rosie (DeVlaeminck) Redig (wife), Villa Rica; daughters, Angie Redig and fiancé Nicholas Teague, Atlanta, Brandee Redig, Atlanta; son, Patrick Redig, Villa Rica, stepsons, Bobby (Heidi) Altenburg, Madelia, MN; Jason (Jamie) Altenburg, Madelia, MN; special niece, Cheryl Biddle, Mankato, MN; brothers Michael (Patti) Redig, Minnesota Lake, MN, Brian (Gayle) Redig, Wells, MN, Dean Redig and fiancé Julie, Wells, MN; sister Karen (John) Bartell, Murphy, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Ashleigh, Taylor, Brett, Riley, Haylee, and Jedric. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 11 o'clock from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Deacon Gary Atkinson officiating.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, July 1 from 6 until 7:30 with a Prayer Service at 7 :30.The American Legion Honor Guard will fold and present the flag.
