Alma Rosa Cruz passed away on September 1st 2016 in her home in Spring TX, she was 68. Alma passed away in the manner she had always hoped, suddenly and in her sleep. Alma was born in Rio Grande City, Texas on March 4th, 1948 to Miguel and Nicolaza Guzman. Alma had a way of lighting up your life with stories and experiences from her life. She enjoyed gardening, helping others and most of all spending time with her family. Alma was also an active member of the Lipan Apache Tribe and served on committees for St. Marks & St. James Catholic church. She married the love of her life on June 13th, 1966 and they enjoyed 50 years of happiness together. Alma was so many things to so many people, she was an optometrist, a genealogist, a loving mother and a devoted wife. She was active in her church and her community, always willing to help in anyway she could. Alma is survived by her husband Benigno Cruz, her two sons; Benigno Cruz Jr., his wife Tonia and their children Chesere, Taylor and Caleb & David Daniel Cruz, his children Seth and Alyssa, her daughter Cynthia Yvonne Cruz, her children Ashley, John, Christian, Gabriel and Ashentel. Alma leaves behind countless family and friends who will treasure her memory forever.

RIP Tia Alma... My sincere condolences to Uncle Benny...and my cousins Benny, Cindy and David as well as the rest of the family. May you always have beautiful memories of your wife, mother and grandmother... I will always remember her beautiful smile and her joyful laugh. It sure was nice seeing all of the beautiful photographs in the slide show that you all put together... Blessings to you all.
