Alphonse Moccia

Al Moccia (ALMO) a long term resident of the Bronx, was born on January 17, 2027 and died on June 27th, 2025 at the age of 98.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis, his children Richard Moccia and wife Barbara and Janet Morra. He cherished his grandchildren, Jennifer Quattrone and husband James, Rich Moccia and his wife Jill, and Lauren Moccia and her fiancé Mike Angelo. His last years were made happy by watching his great granddaughter Emma Grace Quattrone grow and play.

After his initial years of employment at CIT in their data processing department, he moved to CUNY and was the lead operator of their data processing unit.

Ever a fan of technology, he was on Facebook and was a user of Uber Eats to deliver ribs for his beloved Phyllis. He will be missed for his easy going personality and his bad jokes which he enjoyed immensely.

The wake will be held on Sunday, June 29th from 5pm to 8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Ave, Bronx

A devout and practicing Catholic, a mass will be celebrated on Monday June 30th at 11am at Saint Clare of Assisi Church, 1027 Rhinelander Ave Bronx. Internment will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne NY. Lunch to follow at Fratelli's Restaurant 2507 Eastchester Road, Bronx NY
