Andrew Hensell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 9, 2017.
Andrew "Drew" Scott Hensell, age 25, passed away in Flower Mound on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, of a serious heart condition he has had for the past several years. Service: 2 p.m. Friday, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral home in Lewisville. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Drew was born in Bedford, on March 5, 1991, to Joelle and Scott Hensell. Drew was an exceptional athlete and enjoyed sports of all kinds and the outdoors. He was particularly good at football where he garnered All District, All Region and All State honors from the Texas Association of Private and Parochial School - 6 Man Division I Football during his high school years. Drew was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend, who cared about everyone and would give anyone in need the shirt off his back. Indicative of his generous and loving nature was his decision to be an organ donor. Drew's sense of humor was contagious; he was often described as being very respectful; he always let others go first and was always willing to lend a hand. Drew was an exceptional hugger, gift receiver and freely handed out the most sincere goodbyes. Survivors: He is survived by his parents, Joelle Hensell and R. Scott Hensell ; his step-mother, Mandy Hensell and her two children; brothers, Hayden Hensell and Dillon Hensell; grandparents, Robert and Jacque Hensell of Forestburg, and John and Nancy Burgoyne of Weatherford; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
