Andrew MACDONALD Obituary
December 3, 1990 - December 18, 2015
Andrew MacDonald passed on Friday, to be reunited with loving family members that have gone before him. It was a sudden call to continue his missionary work in the next life. We are most grateful to the city's Emergency responders, who described his countenance as "calm and peaceful." Andrew grew strong and tall in Alan and Melody's loving family of 7 children. He spent many good times with extended family and friends; and served for 2 years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Canada Toronto Mission. He was a gentle and kind soul. He will be remembered for his smile and his enthusiasm for living in the moment, and the love he gave so freely. His service blessed many lives as he gave freely of his money, his time, and his skills. He is survived by family members that he laughed with, lived for, and loved: Grandma Eila MacDonald, Grandma Alyce and Grandpa Larry Vernon (of Cardston, AB.), Great-Grandmother Beatrice Heninger; brothers and sisters Harmony, Jarom (Joslyn), Aaron, Jonathan, Chloe, and Joel, all from Calgary. He was also well-loved by uncles, aunts and cousins, 7 nieces and nephews as well as many relatives and friends. Andrew was predeceased by his grandfathers: Robert Walter MacDonald and James Kenneth Low. Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (30 Everstone Blvd S.W.) on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. A light lunch will be provided with interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. We know that Andrew would be pleased if a small donation to the Canadian Red Cross (http://www.redcross.ca/) or the Church Missionary Fund would be placed in his memory. In living memory of Andrew MacDonald, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Our hearts are broken at Andrews passing. We are grateful for the bonds our families have shared over the years.
