Andrew WINNICKI Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew John Winnicki age 22 years old as a result of a tragic accident on Sunday, September 30th, 2012.
Andrew was a special gift born on October 18th, 1989 to loving parents Gerald and Anne (nee Robinson) Winnicki of Fenwick, Ontario.
Family and friends were "Diesel's" passion and joy as he lived a full throttle life style with an enthusiasm for life that held no boundaries. His infectious smile and dancing eyes encaptured all who had the privilege of encountering our "Angel."
He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his brothers Robert and Matthew, his sister Leanna, his grandparents Robert and Lois Robinson of Manotick, Ontario and grandmother Emily Winnicki (the late Aloise) of Fenwick, Ontario.
Our "Yard Ape Angel" will be forever cherished by his Aunts and Uncles: Doug and Lynn Gillis, Chris Robinson, Jamie and Shelley Robinson, JP and Natalie Dozois, Brett and Zenia Evans, Ronald Winnicki and all of his loving cousins: Jake, Megan, Emma, Jordan, Rachel, Jason, Joey, Olivia, Georgia, Brandon and the late Jeremy as well as his special friends Kristianna Hogeveen and Alicia Liuzzo.
Friends may call at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars (East of Hwy 416) on Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Visitation at James L Pedlar Funeral Home, 1292 Pelham St. Fonthill, ON on Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be in the James L. Pedlar Funeral Home chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the charity of your choice. Tributes, condolences or donations may be made at

Andrew's unforgettable laugh and smile will always be remembered. He always made science class in high school a bit more bearable, and I was lucky to spend time with him in first year as my Sociology study buddy.
While working at St. Louis down town, Andrew and Jake often came in with the elevator boys, and he was still as happy as I remembered him.
You will be missed Andrew.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Winnicki,
I don't know your family but I was in the ER at the Civic Hospital with my mother when your son was brought in. I saw how hard and how long many, many people worked to save his life: doctors, nurses, paramedics... there must have been more than a dozen people in that room. We didn't know what had happened but we knew it was something terrible and that a young person had lost their life. It was a cold, rainy night; we assumed a car accident. We saw the news the next day.
I have a son too. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Sincere condolences from my family to yours.

Very shocked to hear of Andrew's passing. Andrew used to sit beside me in grade 11 and we'd have a laugh all the time; he was a stand up guy no doubt about that.

Andrew was a great source of happiness in our lives. With his laid back attitude and silly smile, he could turn your bad mood into a great one in only a few minutes. My heart is breaking for the Winnicki family during this time. I was lucky enough to have known Andrew since the days of Timbit soccer and Mrs. Fuzzen's classroom. I was so blessed to have had Andrew be apart of my childhood and I will never forget his incredible smile and infectious energy. Andrew will live on in my memories as the boy who took all the flowers out the centre pieces at prom and handed them all out to the girls. He will be missed.
