February 4, 1930 - January 19, 2025

Angelo J. Bellace, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, at the age of 94.

Angelo was the beloved husband of Josephine Bellace (née Caruso) for 68 wonderful years. He was a devoted father to Donna Riehl (John) and Linda Bellace and a proud grandfather, lovingly known as "Beebop," to Lauren Leary (Gregory) and John William Riehl (Emily). Angelo cherished his role as great-grandfather to Colin, Mason, Boden, Sienna, and Audrey. He is also survived by his sister Nicasia Ugolini and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Bellace.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Angelo was a proud graduate of Southeast Catholic High School. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's University and later a Master's degree from Temple University. He served in the Army during the Korean War, conducting fit for duty testing at several military bases. Angelo later built a successful career in Human Resources Management at Unisys Corporation, where he worked for nearly 40 years.

Angelo had a deep love for music. He played the saxophone during high school and performed in a nightclub band in his early adult years. Known for his beautiful singing voice, he often sang at family gatherings, bringing joy to those around him. Angelo was a sweet and funny man who delighted in telling corny jokes and making people laugh. He was an avid golfer and he treasured spending time with his beloved wife and family above all else.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Angelo's life on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 819 Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, 235 Matsonford Road, West Conshohocken, PA 19428.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angelo's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106, or online at Alz.org or donations may be made to The IHM Memorial fund, mailed to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 819 Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128.

Arrangements are entrusted to McIlvaine Mundy Funeral Home, 7384 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA.

Rest in peace, Great Uncle Angelo! I remember visiting you when I was a freshman in college without a place to go for the Thanksgiving holidays in 2008. The story I always tell is when you took me, a first-time Philly visitor, to the Liberty Bell. You walked right past everything in the museum and when we got to the bell said, "there it is! Let's go!" This story cracks me up every time! You and Aunt Josephine took me to Atlantic City for the first time, too; these were special memories. Love, Chris.
