Anita Frank

Anita Pearl Frank, a cherished mother, grandmother, and wife, peacefully passed away on February 1, 2024, at the remarkable age of 102. Born in Brooklyn in 1921, Anita was the daughter of Benjamin and Augusta Goldman, proud bearers of a third-generation American heritage. Anita is preceded in death by her late husband, Murray (d. 2014) who she was married to for nearly 50 years.

Anita's remarkable career spanned decades, beginning at the Decoration and Design Building in Manhattan, where she excelled in managing the Fine Art Wallpaper showroom. Later, as an esteemed interior designer at Nettle Creek in Manhattan, her work became a canvas for her boundless imagination and flair.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Anita's influence was profound in her role as a devoted matriarch, embodying values of love, sacrifice, and resilience. She was known for her warm embrace and always wearing her famous red lipstick, which became a trademark of her elegance and style. Devoted mother to Donald Laskin and Lois Horowitz. Loving grandmother to Jessica Weiner, Hallie Gellman, Ross Weiner, Mark Laskin, and Elena Laskin. And cherished great-grandmother ("GiGi") to six.
