Anita G. Zielinski

ERIE, Pa. — Anita Gisella Nather Zielinski, age 79, a resident of Villa Maria Apartments, passed into Heaven on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007.She was born Dec. 17, 1927 in Dresden, Germany, the daughter of the late Paul and Lisbeth Nather.A longtime resident of Erie, she was a 1946 graduate of Villa Maria Academy and retired from Erie Technology Products as an inspector.Anita was an active member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Erie and the Red Hat Society, and loved to play Bingo. Her witty and personable attitude made her the perfect candidate to star in one of the Regional Cancer Center’s anniversary commercials which aired this past summer.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husbands, John Zielinski and Francis Morton; and by her sister-in-law, Carol Nather.She is survived by her children, Cheryl Rees and her husband, Robert, of Erie, Pa., Pamela Lego and her husband, Earl, of Erie, Pa., Christine Aho and her husband, John, of Conneaut, Ohio, and Brian Zielinski and his wife, Lorie, of Erie, Pa. She is the grandmother of Jason, Jonathan, Gretchen, Julie, Natalie, Erich, Alexandria and Jordan. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Nather of Erie, Pa., along with two great-granddaughters, Lily and Amelia, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed and her memory will be cherished by all.Friends are invited to call at the JOHN J. QUINN FUNERAL HOME, 728 West 9th St., Erie, Pa., on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend Prayer Services there on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Erie, Pa.
