Ann Byrnes Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 18, 2015.
Mrs. Ann (Riccardi) Byrnes, passed away at home with family by her side. She was born in Amsterdam, NY, daughter of the late Dominick and Mary (Creatura) Riccardi and later moved to Schenectady with parents. She was united in marriage with Frank Byrnes who preceded her in death on July 4, 2012. Ann enjoyed having family and friends around her and enjoyed listening to music and the Saratoga race track in the summer months. She worked with a local dentist in the area and later retired to take care of her home and family. She attended area schools and was a life member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Schenectady. Ann is survived by three sons, Frank Byrnes, Jr. and wife, Kim of Rotterdam, Kraig Byrnes and wife, Georgene of Florida, and Keith Byrnes and wife, Marjorie of Rotterdam; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward and Lenny Riccardi; and by a sister, Edith (Riccardi) Lupi. The Byrnes family would like to thank Ann's caregivers, friend, Carol Barysewicz, Valerie Ford and Marie DiGiandomenico; along with the staff of Community Hospice Care, JoAnn McNulty (our adopted sister) who her, along with others, helped us come together and understand our difficult time. In lieu of floral offerings, kindly send memorial offerings to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Building Fund, 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady, NY 12303 or Community Hospice, 295 Valley View Dr., Rensselaer, NY 12144. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave., Schenectady, NY 12306 on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Schenectady.
