I not only lost a friend and a co-worker, but being as close to the Warrens as I have been, I felt I also lost a second mother. Your smile, humor, intelligence, and wits will be missed greatly. May you be in peace now Ann and may hope and strength be with the Warren family during this difficult time.

They say time heals all wounds; Therefore there are no words. None that can truly stop the pain... None to express how sad the world is without Ann... Even words cannot describe the courage & fight from our fallen angel.

Ann wants us to celebrate her life, and as such, I will share my fondest memory of Ann. Ann was always there to share a story just right for the moment. I have shared many laughs with Ann, very few disagreements and very little silence. Ann always knew just what each moment needed.

In my darkest hour Ann looked into my eyes and we shared silence for the only time...she too knew there were no words to help; so she simply hugged me, and provided me her shoulder...just like a mother does. So today, as we all say goodbye to our friend, I also say farewell to one of my mothers! I love you Ann and will miss you more than words can express.

I had the pleasure of first working with Ann almost 10 years ago. Her patience with me, while I learned what she taught so well and naturally was amazing!!! Although we lived and worked on opposite sides of the country, she became almost a surrogate mom to me over the years. We’d share recipes (I’ll never forget her egg nog!!!), and stories of our families and children. She also provided me with guidance and advice that will be cherished always. I will fondly remember her charming voice, and the warmth that came with it.

My thoughts and prayers are with her family…the family that she spoke so proudly of.

Kelly and family,

It was such a pleasure working with Ann. She always had a sweet spirit. I remember speaking to her in the morning at the fridge while she mixed her egg salad and saying HEY ANN! She would always greet me back with a smile and say HEY! I would ask her how she was doing and she never complained or looked worried about her condition and I truly admire her for that. She was a very strong woman and worked until the end (even when everybody told her not to, *smile*). She will be missed, heck I'm missing her already.

Kisses, prayers and condolences go out to your family. Kels, you already know if you need me call or text me and I'm right here. Love you guys! Renee Doles (Chester, VA)
