Ann Werler

Werler, Ann (Frank) of Mpls., wife of Paul Werler for 58 years, died peacefully on February 20th surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, James and wife Jane of Mpls., John and wife Nancy of Mpls., Martha and husband David Fonseca of Winchester, Mass, Mary and husband Gary Pzegeo of Melrose, Mass, and Margaret Pereira and husband William of Missoula, Mont., as well as grandchildren, Sam and Elizabeth Werler, Philip and Stanley Fonseca, Charlie and William Pzegeo, and Virginia and Emily Pereira. Ann was born in Framingham, Mass. in 1929 to Albert and Virginia Frank and moved to Edina in 1943 following her father's death. She was preceded in death by her mother and sister, Kathryn Nelson. Ann loved to help others and was an original member of the General Hospital Service League. The center of Ann's universe was her home. She loved to cook, decorate, garden, entertain, and feed the birds. Many friends, neighbors of 47th & Emerson, Minnow Lake, and Los Tules Puerto Vallarta and members of St. Luke's Episcopal Church enjoyed the parties, camping, canoe trips, fundraisers, garage sales, and other events she arranged. She will be remembered as a fun, funny, loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. A memorial service will be held Monday, February 27th at 12:00 Noon at Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave S., Mpls.
