I am so sorry to hear about Anna Rae. My father past away from the same kind of cancer. It was heart wrenching. May you find that others do really care about your great lost.

Also The Bible assures us: “God is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.”

I had the good fortune to grow up 2 doors away from the Rezniks. When I was young, Anna Rae was my 1st babysitter, and the standard by which all other babysitters were measured. Her smile was radiant and her touch magical; she made me special hamburgers that tasted like steak. Memory of her will always be with me. My deepest sympathy to her family.

I was out of town and unable to attend the Ceremony. I have known Anna Rae for over 45 years, when we were both active in Pittsburgh ORT...Anna Rae was always one who came up with great ideas...and if she took a job, she DID it! She was a marvelous cook and never stingy with her recipes. We could always count on her. I was so sorry to hear that her recently found happiness was cut short by the scourge of our time....Cancer.

My deepest sympathy to her children, grandchildren, and husband.

Dear Ruth, Milt, Jay and family,

As I sit here writing this note, I cannot help but to think back on our childhood. Almost every memory of that time includes Anna Rae and the Reznik family. You were my second family and I know I spent more time at your house than I did at my own. I can't help remembering all the Sunday dinners we had together, the backyard picnics and on summer Wednesdays spending the day together swimming at the Willows. How many hours did we spend sitting on the porch on Negley Ave.? Anna Rae was like my sister, and you Jay were like my little brother. These are wonderful memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I know that Anna Rae's memory will live on in the hearts and lives of all those she touched.

Dear Ruth, Milt and Jay,

I was so saddened and shocked to hear about Anna Rae. I have so many wonderful memories of times at your home including the most wonderful Friday night dinners of all time. Jay nicknamed me "Flicka" at some point when Anna Rae and I were best friends. Can it really be so long ago. I have such vivid memories of our days working at Clabers, going to the Willows, hanging out at night during the summers. But most of all who can forget our rummaging through your cabinets for crackers during the High Holidays when we were supposed to be in services but somehow made our way to your home. You were all so welcoming and warm to all of Anna Rae's friends. I haven't been to Pgh since my Aunt Nell died in 2000 so hadn't seen or spoken to Anna Rae since then. I'll be thinking of all of you during your services tomorrow and will be there with you in spirit.

Love,

Susie Friss (Farber)

I am so terribly sorry to hear of Anna Rae's passing. She was my neighbor at Beacon Hill prior to her recent marriage. She was always a ray of sunshine and will always be thought of with only the kindest of thoughts. My condolences to her entire family.

We were at Peabody High School together. It's probably been 40 years since we've seen or talked to each other. BUT Anna Rae and her business partner were incredibly kind to my family when my father passed away. She was much too young and I'm sure she will be missed. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends.

Dear Milton, Ruth, and Jay,

After many years out of touch, you are the only members of Anna Rae's family who may remember me. Upon hearing of her untimely passing, I can't help but think back to our very young days as best friends through grade school. Having houses that backed up to each other (yours on Negley Ave., ours on Mellon St.), running back and forth through the fences, sharing girlie secrets, and too often teasing and hiding from little brother Jay. Anna Rae was always the sweetest and nicest child and woman. I am saddened for your entire extended family who have lost a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend. I know she will be fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched; even from "way back when."

To all who loved/and were befriended by/ Anna Rae. Allan & I can still see her, in our mind's eye, at our home this past Thanksgiving. When dinner was over, Anna Rae assigned a task to everyone who offered to help in the kitchen. With her at the helm, everything was well organized and before we knew it...we were again seated and awaiting desert..................

You havc our deepest sympathy on your great loss.
