Mrs. Harris, my First Grade teacher in 1956, kept me focused and accepted nothing less than my best effort. Thank you.
As her newspaper carrier for many years, she always remembered me and seemed to know how I was doing in school.
I'm one of the many to whom she gave a great start in school.

Many years ago she taught me to read and encouraged my first creative writing. Today I am a Presbyterian minister who uses those two skills every day. Thanks be to God for the life and educational ministry of this great lady.
