Anne Caldwell Norman passed away February 23, 2023, at her home in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born on her family's farm in Rockford, Tennessee on September 17, 1933, to Lynton and Inza Caldwell. At age 12, her family moved to Montgomery, Alabama, where she made lifelong friends. She attended Lanier High School, Queens College in Charlotte, NC, and Auburn University. She married Franklin Holmes Toothaker with whom she had two daughters, Tammie and Amy. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and the Junior League of Montgomery, a formidable bridge player, a dedicated volunteer and an intrepid traveler. She married Robert Hudson Norman and together they travelled to six continents and were active members of their communities in Lake Martin, Alabama, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Little Switzerland, NC.

Anne was predeceased by her parents, sister Lyn Caldwell Noble, and husbands Frank Toothaker and Robert Norman. She is survived by her children, Tammie Toothaker Black (Joel) and Amy Lyn Toothaker, all of Birmingham, AL, Robert Hudson Norman, Jr. (Laura), of Albuquerque, NM, and Amy Norman Snyder (Alan), of Prescott, AZ, grandson Graham Caldwell Black (Sierra), great-granddaughters Hazel and Violet, of Birmingham, niece Elizabeth Norman Toothaker Thompson, Seagrove Beach, FL, nephews Harry Hawkins Toothaker (Robyn), Fairhope, AL, George DeVotie Noble and Gregory Caldwell Noble of Destin, FL. She is also survived by her beloved cousin, Dr. David Caldwell Morton (Betty) of Clarksville, TN. She cherished and was lovingly cared for by Curstine "Peaches" Smith, Vickie Arrington, Paula Cannon, Brenda Green, Cathline Chancellor and Melissa Lykes.

Anne was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Pike Road, AL and the Church of the Resurrection in Little Switzerland, NC, where a service will be held this summer.

Dear sweet Annie I loved you so much. C. Ward (Chauncey Hall) and I treasured our friendship with you and Robert and all our adventures.
