Anne Gosnell STYLES
Retired office administrator, community volunteer and family genealogist, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Galt Bready; parents, John and Relda Gosnell and brother-in-law, Larry Ball. She leaves her daughter, Tracey Cole (Robert); sons, Barry (Cindi) and Scott (Daniele); step-sons, Sam, Doc (Kathleen) and Ben (Amanda); 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Susan Ball; and brother, Jack Gosnell (Leslie).Her ashes will be interred with those of her husband at Chestnut Grove in Herndon VA, at a later date.

Anne has been important to us and our family. She will be deeply missed. Treasure her work on her family histories. She was a pioneer in genealogy when it wasn't the trend. Her letters had substance, they were the glue keeping the Hudson family intact, despite the distances in miles. I loved her very much.

I worked for Anne for 2 years in my late teens at Courtesy Assoc. She was a true feminist role model for me - a strong, smart, professional, confident woman. She imparted many pearls of wisdom to me ("quit smoking and with the money you save you can buy a very nice piece of furniture every year!")
I remember Scott from middle school (Hi Scott) and I remember Anne's joy while planning Tracy's wedding and the birth of her first child. Anne was mesmerized by that baby! Anne also recommended Dr. Sanders to me, who delivered 2 of my 3 children.
I regret not keeping in touch with her. She was way more influential on my life than she'll ever know. I wish I had told her.
