Anthony (Tony) Arbaney Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 2, 2024.
Anthony Alex Arbaney (Tony) passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2024 after a sudden illness.

He was born on October 27, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a baby he moved to Littleton, Colorado and in 1974 his family relocated to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Tony graduated in 1981 from Glenwood Springs High School and got his degree from Wyoming Tech as a Diesel Mechanic.

He married Traci, the love of his life on May 16, 1998. They lived in Craig, Colorado, Vernal, Utah, and Marion, Illinois. They were living in Vernal at the time of his passing and were planning to retire there. Tony was like his dad, could fix anything and was always willing to help anyone that needed it. He turned this skill into a life-long profession. He worked at Mid Continent and Twenty Mile coal mines on the large mining machinery. He then moved into sales with Dry Systems Technologies where he worked with several mines across the US for approximately 19 years.

Tony enjoyed his membership in the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) helping those in need through the Lord, Traci frequently joined him in these rides and ministries. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and riding side-by-sides with his family. He spent his time away from work as a hunting guide near Craig, CO.

Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents Lewis and Jewel Thompson and Alver and Edith Arbaney of Carbondale, CO and his parents Vern and LeAnn Arbaney of Glenwood Springs. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Traci, daughters Sami Jo McIntyre (Codi Reynolds), Nicole Gardner (Johnny), and Bailee Arbaney (Brock Allred) all of Vernal, UT. He had five grandsons he spent every possible minute with who lived close by; Jax, Haze, Knox, Mavryx, and Travers. He had two sisters Staphie Turner (Steve) of Surprise, AZ and Alea Brim (John) of Mead, CO, he had many nieces and nephews.

Tony was truly one of the good guys and left a lasting impact on anyone who met him with his kindness and generosity. He will be deeply missed by his beloved family and friends.

The date and time for a Celebration of Life is yet to be determined and will be posted on the Ashley Valley Funeral Home website at www.ashleyvalleyfuneralhome.com

I worked on several projects with Tony through the years and he was very knowledgeable and professional in his dealing with me and my company. Great guy! One time I spent 3 days with Tony in Illinois and got to know him, it was a great experience and I respected Tony even more after that! RIP buddy! I'm glad you are saved!!
