Tony's tailoring always made me smile! Judi Hindes

Tony & I went back for many decades & I think it is safe to say I became the ‘challenge’ of his career as a tailor! I quickly realized his talents were that of a tailor extraordinaire & pushed him to the limits with what I called his ‘magical needle’! He proved over & over there was nothing he couldn’t do with it & the projects that I would bring him often didn’t have to have anything to do with clothing!
My mother used to visit his shop with me & often would go into the shop first & tell him to “Head for the hills!” He would laugh & say – “Oh no, Mrs. Moore, what does she think I can do now!” By then I would be in there assuring him he could do anything… & he always proved me right!
I continued to tell him not to retire in my lifetime because I couldn’t imagine getting along without him… & I still can’t. He became more than a creative tailor over the years – he became my friend.

I shall greatly miss dear Tony. I shall miss his cheery face; I shall miss his ever-present smile; I shall miss his expert tailoring; I shall miss the pleasant conversations we had any and every time I visited his shop over the past several decades. He was truly a very sweet person. I and my son and his wife (who also knew him well) send our sincerest sympathy to Tony's family. "Goodbye, dear friend."

Tony was a special person. A great tailor. I was glad to have met him in the last year to have him as my tailor. He is in heaven. My sympathy is his family.
