Anthony 'Buddy' Ernest Guida Sr., 72, passed away suddenly at his home in Naples, FL on June 5, 2014.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; and children, Anthony Guida, Tina (Eric) Collins, Terri (Mario) Rodriguez, Tammy (Joe ) Easterly, John Guida; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Buddy will always be remembered as a multi-talented and charismatic Country singer and musician as well as a creative inspiration to many in Southwest Florida. Buddy was always willing to lend a helping hand to his family and friends.
A celebration of Buddy's life will be held in a private ceremony.

Dearest Dad,
Every year at this time is always hard for me because it's when you suddenly left and couldn't say goodbye to your loved ones. I think about you always. I hold you close within my heart and wish I could bring you back for a day or even for a moment, for some kind of closure. I have so much left to say to you. I sometimes sit in your former driveway, (tell no one), with my eyes closed, and through the tears, remember every memory I had of that ole place, with every family member to ever walk those lost and forgotten grounds since I was a little girl. I remember every detail as if it was yesterday. A couple of my favorite moments was watching you play your steel, (and I would sing), or you simply walking around your yard contemplating your next project. These memories are all I have left, but they are so special. I miss your calls that would ask, "What you know good?" You were so tired and scared towards the end, but you weren't alone. Angels guided you to your new home. I wish you could tell me of all the family members that are spending time with you up there. There's so many that I miss and cant wait to see them again, like Uncle Willie and Aunt Ruby. Your so lucky!
You are greatly missed and loved by your family. Always know that! I'm doing my best to hang in there dad, but it's been extremely difficult for me since I lost my Eric. He truly was my heart and rock! Tell him that I love and miss him and will see him soon.
P.S Please watch over Karen and Tammy and comfort them in some way. Their hearts miss you so much! I love them both so much! Rest now. Until we meet again.

Dearest Father God,
I thank you for my Dads life and love. For the good memories and laughter and for the gift of music that you gave to him and in return was and is a legacy of his life in which I´m personally blessed for the rest of my life with. His love for you was very evident through his music and in return, I sing in part because of his gift I was raised with and have passed that to my own children. This is what I cherish the most about my Dad my Lord, is how you know him and love him and and knew what precious memories not only I would have of him but so many others. His smile always would light up a room and so would his nudge and laughter. I sing because I´m happy, I sing because I´m free, his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he´s watching over me! Praise God. As the host of angels sing and worship you today God, I m ow my Dad is right along side of them, singing praises to his King and with all that he would say today to all who would listen, you wouldn´t want to miss this for the world! Praise be to the Lord for evermore! I love you Dad!

My comfort comes from knowing where you are, and how glorious Heaven must be . Buddy gave me some advice when I first got my steel guitar, and I still think about him playing his steel guitar. He said, "Now you don't always have to play 3 strings at the time, play just 2 stings sometimes". I was able to talk with Buddy on the phone only once or twice prior to him passing, but he told me a lot on those calls, lol!!
