DiZENZO
Antonio, 77, of Paterson, passed away on November 15, 2013 surrounded by his family.
Antonio was born in Serino Avellino, Italy on November 29, 1935 to the late Vittorio and Donnatella (nee Manzo) DiZenzo.
He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. He later worked for the United States Postal Service as a deliveries driver before retiring. Antonio was also a member of the Roma Sports Club in Paterson.
Antonio was the beloved husband of Olivia (nee Videla) and former husband of Louise DiZenzo (nee Dente). He was the loving father of James DiZenzo and his wife Annette and stepfather of Mario Gonzalez and his wife Georgina, Cristian Gonzalez, Claudia Gonzalez and her husband Mauricio, Marcela Gongalez and her husband Didier, and Geraldine Gonzalez and her husband Fernando. He was the adored grandfather of Daniel, Matthew, Andrew and Kristi DiZenzo and step-grandfather of Mario, Marion, Melanie, Catherine, Valentina, Claudia, Karina, Mauricio, Daniela, Adrian, Matias, Tamara and Andres and great-grandfather of Anthony and Mario. Antonio was the dear brother of Theresa Preziosi and her late husband Carmen, Assunta Tonti and her late husband Gasbar, Eugene DiZenzo and his wife Susan, Alfred DiZenzo and his wife Marilyn, Anna Marie Vancheri and her husband Anthony and the late Liberato DiZenzo and his wife Gilda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday at 10:15 AM at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey St., Paterson, NJ. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
