Arthur Lyon Obituary
He was born Oct. 24, 1934, in Stamford, a son of Loren and Harriet (Buck) Lyon.
He attended Stamford Central School, enlisted in the Air Force and served in England and Germany. After leaving the Air Force, he sold and serviced industrial generators.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; three children, Glenis (Mrs. Allen) Lawrence of Benton, Ark., Larry Lyon and his wife, Maria, of Grapevine, Texas, and April Lyon of Hurst, Texas; five grandchildren, Matthew Lawrence of Benton, Ark., David Lawrence and his wife, Natalie, of Conway, Ark., and Robbie, Ryan and Robin Lyon of Grapevine, Texas. He is also survived by four stepchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three sisters, Rose Nelson of Laurens, Emma Benware of Madrid, and Anna Elwyn of West Davenport.
Funeral services were held June 13, 2009, in Jonesboro. He was cremated, and burial will be at a later date in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, Ark.
